New Ferriers, George St., Paisley

A little pub at the corner of Storie Street. This is a pub that blows hot and cold with regards to popularity. A couple of years back I would regulary visit here as it had a good wee jukebox and also a dart board. It was usually full of punters, recently though I have never seen more than a handful of blokes in here. It has also recently changed hands and named new ferriers, before which it was called The Happy Scholer and before that Ferriers.

Paddy Malarky's, New St., Paisley

An Irish bar, well it would be Unlike most Irish theme bars in Paisley this one actually has a real live Irish barman to complete the look and feel. This place usually gets busy and dont expect to find any room to sit at the weekends as its mobbed. During the day when its not so crowded the crack from the barstaff can be hilarious, (see aformentioned barman).

Hogshead, High St., Paisley

I have only been in here the one occasion and that was to grab some lunch. I have to say it was one of the worst bar lunches I have ever had and it put me off going back. It was a few years ago when it first opened so perhaps it has improved since.

Whenever I go in here during the day it is usually dead although it seems a decent enough place to go. Upstairs they have two pool tables so you normally find a few students floating around (literally). One thing that really scares me about this place is the spiral staircase you have to go up to get upstairs. The whole thing starts to vibrate and shake and I am convinced I'll end up going down it helter-skelter fashion if I ever have one too many in here.

Russels, High St., Paisley

Remember this place before it was Russels? A total change to the better. (unless you have a dislike to students that is) Good place to go for a drink on a night out with the lads as its always got a decent crowd in. Last time we were in they were doing two pizzas for the price of one, which was handy as it meant the two girls across from us could gave as their free one and tell us to stop annoying them. Incidently later on the same evening I was told to leave when the bouncers arrived as I was wearing trainers (?)
